This Christmas, I'm glad that I could act with Daddy and Mummy as ourselves, a family celebrating Christmas. All the One Voice uncles and aunties dressed up and we sang a beautiful song with Aunty Su Ping singing solo. Her singing was wonderful and full of emotion. We were on our way to go to Sentosa for our outing when it started to rain. So daddy and mummy decided to change their plans. We end up having a nice quiet " Lor Mee" breakfast at one of the Tiong Bahru coffeeshop.
It was very cooling with the rain. See how I fell asleep.

The Lor mee is very good. This lor mee has been around for more than 50years. All my ah yees and grandma liked to eat the lor mee at this stall. Sometimes, we will travel all the way from Hougang to Tiong Bahru just to buy the lor mee.

Taking a train ride to Singapore History Museum- See how i hold on to the pole. I like to hold on to the pole.

Going down the ramp at Singapore History Museum. The museum trip was free for mum and dad because of their school membership. It is free for me too because I am below 3.
Daddy and Mummy were listening to the Personal Companion. I was just absorbing in the historic artefacts. We met up with Auntie Hong Xuan who is the curator of the museum.
Soon after, I felt bored and fell asleep.
When I woke up, we were walking along the Singapore River.

I have learnt more about the Singapore History and what makes Singapore it is today.

We met up with Gu Zhe for lunch at Waruku Japanese Restaurant. We walked all the way from Singapore History Museum to Clarke Quay, the Central. Daddy had to carry my stroller at some point of the walk.

Day 1- We are going on a " Gallop Stables' Hunt"

We woke up early on a saturday morning to Pasir Ris park to check up the Gallop Stables. Mummy wanted to expose me to horses. So there we go hunting for the place.

We walked along the whole stretch of Pasir Ris Park. I was enjoying my self with the breeze.

Daddy and mummy took time to pram me.

At times, Daddy put me on his shoulder to have a better view.

Often times, I ask daddy and mummy whether we are there yet.

But we still couldn't find the place.

By the time, we reach the Gallop Stables. I was fast asleep. I did get to touch the horses. : (

Daddy and mummy likes to eat the drunken chicken at Hougang Green. They have been bringing me there since I was two months old.

All the waiters there know me very well.

Guess, where did I go? We went to the Natas fair on 1st August 2008.

I accompanied daddy and mummy to the NATAs fair. It was very crowded.

But I still attracted a lot of attention. I got a lot of freebies from the people who find me cute.

One turkish guy gave me a turkish braclet,

another lady gave me a big balloon,

I also got an AIG cushion from a middle aged man.

Daddy and mummy were trying to book their honeymoon package.

They did not go for any honeymoon when they first got married two years ago.

Now, you must be thinking how did we win the Nintendo wii?

Okay, this is the story. Mummy used her credit card to pay for the tour. She was supposed to get a trolley bag for spending above certain amount of money. But in the end, the trolley bag was fully redeemed. So, she was entitled to two lucky dips with the first prize being Nintendo Wii.

And guessed what? We got the first prize! They even took a picture of us.

Daddy was very happy because he can play the games legitmately without any nagging from mummy.

All the aunties were also excited. They told me that it gave them more reason to come to my house to play.

SAJC Open House-02082008

This morning, I was all dressed up in sports gear to accompany Xiao yi , daddy and mummy to SAJC Open House. I was a big "kaypo".

I wanted to tag along to find out what JC system is like.

This is a hurdle specially for small tots like me.

I attracted quite a lot of attention. I got a free pop corn which was supposed to be sold at $1.50. It must be my charming smile.

As I walked around, the SAJC girls keep screaming that I am so cute!

My 4 primary caregivers are sick!

Grandma, Daddy , mummy and San yi!

Today, we went to Dr Daniel's clinic to see him. You see, mummy and daddy was worried about grandma's feet after yesterday A & E's incident.

And they could not wait until tuesday for the review at TTSH.

So they brought grandma there for a second opinion.

Daddy and mummy also took this chance to see Dr Daniel, as they had been sick for the whole week and they do not want me to catch the illness as well.

When we went there, the nurse asked whether I was supposed to see the doctor.

Mummy and daddy told the nurse that I am the one who is bringing the three adults to see the doctor.

I am strong and healthy.

But sometimes, I am a bit naughty. I will feign coughing in front of daddy, mummy and grandma. They will always laugh when I feign the coughing, saying that I am so mischevious.

Thank God for Dr Daniel's advice and prescription of medicine, grandma's condition is under control for now.

Celebrating Daddy's 30th Birthday

I am trying watermelon for the first time. Am I supposed to eat that? (scratching my head for the third time)
San yi feeding me mashed papaya. This is the fruit that I take everyday when I am over at grandma's place. Don't worry I am not "pooing". I am just learning to focus.

San yi looks a bit pale, skinnier and a bit more demure cos she was vomiting and had diarrhoea for the past few days. I heard from mummy and daddy that she lost about 4 to 5kg of weight. Get well soon. San Yi.

We celebrated Daddy's birthday yesterday at THE SHIP at the Shaw Centre!

Mummy organised a surprise party for daddy.

It was so well planned that daddy did not suspect anything.

But mummy had to reveal the surprise, cos' suddenly grandma had to be admitted to TTSH A&E because of her swollen foot.

But luckily, grandma need not have to be hospitalised.So we continued with the dinner, although it was no longer a surprise.

During the surprise party, Daddy gave a thanksgiving speech.

June Hols are over. Daddy and Mummy are back for work.

I am back at Grandma's place.

I have been a good boy waking up early together with daddy and mummy so that they can fetch me over to grandma's place.

I am so glad to be back at grandma's place. I can eat more nutritious solid food.

A lot of things happened to me this week!

This week, I got a scolding and beating from daddy. I have been screaming at the top of my voice. He told me that if I want something I should not be screaming.

Mummy thinks that perhaps, it is because I am teething.

My two front teeth are growing fast.

I also fell down from my bed in the beginning of the night.

I was crawling around the bed when daddy and mummy were sleeping.

And I fell real hard on the ground.

Thank God, I did not have any head concussions. I was alert and continued crawling before I was too tired and went back to sleep.

Mummy also stopped breastfeeding me directly this week. She will bump out my milk.

Cos' I have been biting her as I am feeding.

Perhaps I am teething, that is why.

She is still trying to think of a solution to breastfeed me without me biting.

I am also getting a little emo, bositerous. I am starting to shout and scream. Daddy and mummy are thinking of ways how to discipline me.

When I am eating my teething rusk, I tend to swallow it whole piece. It is giving daddy and mummy a headache. There was a few times that I nearly chocked on the rusks.

4th week of June Hols!

I spent my last week of June Hols going for Junior camp every day.

Daddy is serving in the camp. Mummy stayed at home and looked after me.

There were times when mummy had to go back to work for a few hours.

She will put me in church for a few hours.

Thank God for Teacher Eng Hwee, Auntie Li Hong, all the camp cooks who took turn to look after me.

I think I am the youngest camper in Junior Camp.

I have learnt in camp how to be a good testimony.

It has been 2 years since they got married. Recently, daddy and mummy have been hit by the wedding bug, after having attending several weddings and celebrating their anniversary recently. They decided to take out the photo album and do a "show and tell" for me. " Let the word of Chirst dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymms and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord"

Word of Christ is the key cornerstone in our family.

They learnt to bear each others' burdens.

During their courtship days, they do go to the beach a lot. " Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another;even as Christ forgave you, to you also must do.

They have learnt to forgive, love and bear with one another.

This is the photo of all the mothers in Senior Sunday School II that mummy attend every sunday. She has stopped teaching sunday school but to learn as a Sunday School student all over again. She is trying to be a better mother and wife to daddy and me. She is learning from the role modelling of the wonderful mommy's here.

Spot me among all the mothers. I was distracted by the number of mothers. It was mummy's first Mother 's Day!

10 June 2008 - While Daddy & Mummy were having their "er ren shi jie"

It was Daddy & Mummy's 2nd wedding anniversary on 10th June. They decided to leave me with Sunny and Auntie Annie while they spent time the whole day together. I didn't mind at all because Sunny and Auntie Annie brought me out.

Guess where we went?

We went to an animal resort in Jalan Kayu. I saw a colourful peacock and a dull-coloured peahen. I also saw little doggies and parrots in a shop. But we weren't allowed to take photos hence there are no pictures to show you.

Oh boy, I was really tired. I fell asleep immediately when we went back to the car.

While I was asleep, Sunny drove us to Compasspoint for lunch. Sunny & Auntie Annie were quite glad that I was asleep so that they could take their lunch in peace.

I decided to be a really good boy that day. I continued to entertain myself with the nappy cloth while Sunny & Auntie Annie were taking their lunch.

I love blankie just like Linus does.

Did I tell you that I really love the cushy sofa seat at Swensens?

In the late afternoon at home, I took some porridge that Auntie Annie lovingly cooked for me.

Ah ha! :P can you tell where I was? I was at the airport for the 4th time. I went on skytrain rides (from T3 to T2 and back to T3).

Er Yi came down from her workplace to meet me at the airport because she missed me.

It was a fun-filled happy day!

21st February 2008- We are Singapore cum belated Valentine's Celebration

Daddy and mummy feel proud to be a Singaporean.

They were excited when they found out that Singapore is going to bid for the Youth Olympics 2010.

So on 21st February, they left me with all my gu zhe, yi yis and Uncle Michael and went to the Padang to express their patrioism for Singapore.

After that they even celebrated their Valentine at Esplanade with the musical by Dim Sum Dollies " The History of Singapore."

I can sit on my own without any assistance.
I dare to try new things. I have learnt that strawberry taste a bit sour.
I tend to sit up and look around now when I am in the baby car seat.
My tooth is growing. Daddy and mummy were so excited that they kept touching my tooth.
I can crawl long distances and up and down the mattresses. So beware of me!

I have learnt to sit on a high chair on my own. I can also eat a rusk biscuit myself.
I can do a High Five!
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

I can manipulate my toys from my right hand to my left hand and back again when I am bathing or at play. Daddy do not need to support me when I am bathing.
I like to crawl around on the BIG SIMMONS Bed.
I like to smile and cuckle.

Daddy and mummy celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary today.

Daddy and mummy really appreciated San Yi (Hui Min) and Gu Ma (Annie) baby sitting me for the whole day so that they can enjoy their "er ren shi jie".

I shall tell you what happened to me in the next blog.

Meanwhile, we will focus on daddy and mummy.

Below are some glimpses of what they did on that day.

Daddy scored an impressive 159 score for his bowling considering Daddy had not bowled for a long, long, long time.

Mummy did not do too bad after all. She scored a 125.

They visited their wedding dinner place-Intercontinental
No No No! They did not go for candlelight dinner. They had cravings for ma la steamboat at Beach Road. Since they cannot eat it when I am around, they went to eat there instead.Like what daddy said, it is not the ambience they count. But the companionship that matters.
Though they were out the whole day, they still missed me! Look at the sad look on their faces at the end of the day.

Mummy and Daddy, I love you two!

3rd week of June Hols-09062008

Today, I went out for lunch at Swensen (United Square)with Auntie or should I say Jie Jies- Jin Ling, Amelia, Debbie and Si Si. I heard from mummy and daddy that the 4 jies jies will be serving in Junior Camp for the first time. So we decided to meet up with them to fellowship together.

Thank you to all who are serving in the Junior Camp. It is through your love and service for the Lord that we (the young ones) can come to know the Lord.

I am looking forward to the day that I can go for Junior Camp too.

We celebrated great grand ma birthday on sunday.

We are the fourth generation.

Jovan: Jerome, Thaddeus is not here today. I heard from mummy that he went to Japan.

Jerome: Is it?

Jovan: (shaking Jerome's hand) Shall we play?

Jerome: Okay!

Jovan: Wait for me! Don't go so fast!

Jerome: You hurry up, lah!

Jovan: (whispering to Jerome) This is how we are going to play the game.

Blah Blah......................

Jerome: Okay. I got it.

Jovan: Are we still playing a not?

Jerome: I think better not. We are supposed to behave ourselves during the worship.

2nd Week of June Hols- An Insightful and greatly blessed Saturday

Today we went to Auntie Baoling and Uncle Edwin's wedding service. Daddy was glad that I kept quiet during the wedding service, otherwise both of us had to stand outside the sanctuary. Mummy was singing in the choir. Mummy - I behaved myself. Are you proud of me?

Do you know what I liked most about the wedding? It is the wedding cake. The wedding cake is specially baked by Auntie Sally and Auntie Annie.

I also managed to catch a glimpse on how Auntie Swee Keng and her team work on the wedding decorations, the YPG kor kors and jies jies cleaning out the church after the wedding service.

I am learning from your role modelling. Thank you all for working so hard for the Lord.

Daddy and mummy told me that all of you are doing it because you love the Lord.

I will learn to love the Lord too.

In the evening after the One Voice choir, daddy and mummy did a radical thing.

They told San Yi, Gu Zhe, Uncle Michael and God ma to look after me while they went off to pa toh for a few hours. The 4 of them readily agreed to it.

Off they packed me into the car to join Uncle Si Yu, Auntie Yi Yong, Uncle Cheng Siang and Auntie Shuping for dinner.

But I was tired and cranky. I cried the whole journey there.

The 4 of them decided to turn back the car and brought me home. After a half hour power nap, I was rejuvenated and started to play with them.

Thank God for blessing me with people who loved me.

2nd Week of June Hols- An "Orchard" Friday

I am hungry. Can I eat those buns?

Mummy! Daddy and I are tired. Can we stop now?

Mummy and daddy decided to bring me down to Orchard Road to meet Auntie Ivy for lunch since she is working in the area. We went to eat at "THE SHIP" at Shaw Centre. After the meal, mummy and daddy brought me to BORDERS to look at the children's books. I like books!

Daddy and mummy was telling me that previously when they go shopping, they will visit places like Wisma, Takashimaya. But now, instead of these shopping centres, they will go to shopping centres like Forum, Paragon fifth floor (children's section), CK Tang 3rd floor (children's section).

We visited two Toy rus in one day. Daddy gets excited when he visit the two places. He likes toys.

2nd Week of June Hols- A "Eastern" Thursday

I am reading!

Godma dropped by and read to me. Through the story she read, I learnt that God loves me and takes care of me. I slept soundly that night after she prayed with me.

Today I spent my time at the eastern part of Singapore. Daddy and mummy bought me to IKEA Tampines for breakfast. After that we went to the Motherhood fair at Singapore Expo. I took a picture with a bear at the fair and I was not scared of the bear. Mummy said that I was a brave boy. Since we were at the East side, mummy and daddy brought me to Tampines Mall and Century Square for shopping. Mummy was frantically finding for a champagne dress for the wedding on Sat. But she could not find it. Sigh.. What a tiring day!

When I came back home, daddy and mummy cooked dinner for all my Ah Yis and Uncles.

You see what happened was that the day before, mummy and daddy were supposed to cook beehoon and fry some fried food for the picnic. But I was a bit cranky and needed one of their attention. So they only had time to make sandwiches for the group. But the ingredients had been prepared and it cannot be kept in the fridge for too long. So they asked all my ah yis to come over and eat and to play with me.

2nd week of June Hols- A "beachy" Wednesday

Today, I went to East Coast beach with daddy, mummy, Uncle Chen Siang , Auntie Shuping and their sunday schools kids (Kor Kor Aaron, Stephen, Darryl, Jeremy and Gabriel). We had a picnic there.

2nd week of June Hols- An "Exercise-packed" Tuesday

Today, I had an exercise-filled day. Daddy and mummy bought me for my first ever swimming experience and Gymboree at Vivo-city. I had a lot of fun. But daddy and mummy were complaining of aches and pains.

At the Swimming Pool

Daddy and mummy dressed me up in my swimming trunks and brought me to the swimming pool in the late morning. I overheard them saying whether I should wear my diapers with the swimming trunks or just wear the swimming trunks. Nevertherless , they chose the former.

How do I look with my swimming trunks?

All ready to jump into the pool when it started to rain. Daddy and mummy were scared that I will catch a cold, so they told me I have to wait until the rain stop before I can jump into the pool.

When is the rain going to stop? I am getting bored. Dozing off together with daddy.

The rain stopped. I can finally swim. When I went into the pool, I fidgeted a bit. I was not afraid of the water. The water in the swimming pool was cold. I don't like the cold water.

Daddy and mummy also bought my toys along. The swimming pool looks like my bath tub at home, just that it is a bit bigger and colder.

I am having fun. Look at me in my float.

Mummy! Stop splashing water on me!

What is that? Is it a shark? Is it a whale? No, It is my daddy!

I swam for half an hour and mummy said that we have to go, because the sun is coming out and she does not want me to have a tan.

When daddy and mummy tried to change me up from the swimming trunk, to their horror, the diapers had grown so big due to the absorption of water that I could not get out of the swimming trunks. They have learnt two lessons from these.

1) I have to poo poo first before I go for swimming.

2) Never wear diapers with swimming trunks.

At the Gymboree(Vivocity)

Mummy complained that she had to do crunches with me just like her aerobics lessons.

Soccer time with daddy. I had to kick the ball that was rolling around on the floor.

PLAY GYM time aka Obstacle Course for me

Daddy and mummy led me through the various obstacles at the play gym. They commented that I was a good boy because I was adventurous to crawl on all surfaces.

2nd Week of June Hols- A "Foodful" Monday

"Son, do you want to go to mummy school's today?" Before I could stretch my lazy bones after a long restful night of sleep, she lugged daddy and me to her school to pick up things. I was introduced to mummy's boss (the p) and her corporate office staff there, all of them said that I am handsome and look ang mo. Heheehe I have good genes!

We went to HANs for breakfast after that. As usual, daddy and mummy will give me my biscuits to eat while they eat their sumptuous breakfast. When can I join them in their breakfast?

After breakfast, we went to buy lunch for all the pastors and church staff. Daddy told me to learn to give thanks for our pastors and church staff. Daddy , I am learning from your role modelling. And off we went to church for a fellowship luncheon. Hurray! I am learning to fellowship over meals. I provided lunchtime entertainment with my smiles and giggles.

Don't Envy Me!

Don't envy me! I have my daddy and mummy for the whole June hols. I heard from daddy and mummy that they have a whole series of programme lined up for me.

I am going to share with you what I did. Are you ready?

1st week of June

I had a "father and son" bonding week with my daddy. Mummy still have to work for the first week. We will start off the morning by sending mummy to work. Then daddy will bring me to Macs drive-thru at AMK to buy his breakfast. And I will always fall asleep in the car by then.... When we reach home, both daddy and I will continue our sleep zzzzzz. Then I will wake up in the mid morning and play with daddy. He has specially set out a play corner for me in the living room. In the afternoon, after my afternoon nap, daddy will continue to play with me or bring me to Hougang mall and Compass Point to see his toys. And by the time, we reached home, mummy will be back from work. And I have two of them with me...: )

Son and Father bonding- SLEEP, EAT, PLAY , SLEEP, EAT, PLAY.

I liked it.

Mummy complained that I have grown closer to daddy after this week.

On sat, I went to take part in the COOL games organised by the YAG-YPG kors kors and jies jies. I was there to cheer for daddy. Daddy was in the yellow team. I wore a yellow bandana to show my loyalty to the team. After that, I went to visit my newborn cousin, Azure. I am not the youngest in the family anymore.

On sun, I had to stay a little while longer in church, as mummy and daddy had one voice practice on that day. That night, I went out with Er Yi, Xiao Yi and Future Yi Zhang to eat drunken Chicken soup at Hougang Green. I was a good boy and did not make any noise as I listened to daddy and mummy advising Er Yi about her wedding things. Er Yi was telling me to learn to walk a bit faster so that I can be the page boy for her. I am trying, I am trying. : ) Do you know that they are going to get married on my birthday? They were telling me that it is easy to count how many weeks more to their wedding by using me as their point of reference.
